1. Who we are

SelfnvestAI ("SelfnvestAI," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI consulting and implementation practice serving small and local businesses — HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, construction, auto repair, landscaping, dental, medical, chiropractic, med spas, law firms, real estate, and more. We build voice answering, automation workflows, admin automation, lead generation, lead capture, and websites for the businesses that built, and still run, their towns.

This policy applies to our website and the services we offer through it. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, or the internal systems we build and operate on your behalf under a separate engagement agreement.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

• When you book an assessment: your name, email address, company name, company address, number of employees, whether you've tried AI before and your experience with it, the problems you're trying to solve, your current software spend, your preferred meeting format, and the times you're available to meet.
• When you use the contact form: your name, email address, and the message you write to us.
• When you chat with our AI assistant ("Maple"): the messages you send during the conversation, including any details you choose to share about your business.

Information we collect automatically

• Basic technical data: your IP address and request details, which our server uses for security and rate limiting (to prevent spam and abuse of our forms and chat).
• Standard server logs: limited records of requests to our site, used to keep the service running and diagnose problems.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you share to:

• Respond to your messages and answer your questions.
• Schedule, confirm, and prepare for your assessment or consultation.
• Understand your business so we can recommend the right AI tools and services.
• Send you emails related to your request — booking confirmations, follow-ups, and replies.
• Operate, secure, and improve our website and AI assistant.
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.

4. Our AI assistant (Maple)

Maple is the AI assistant on our site that answers questions and helps you book an assessment. When you chat with Maple, your messages are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate responses. Please don't share sensitive personal information — such as financial account numbers, government IDs, or health details — in the chat.

Maple's responses are generated by AI and are meant to be helpful and informational. They are not legal, financial, or professional advice, and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Anything important is best confirmed directly with us during your assessment.

5. How we share information

We share your information only in these limited situations:

• With service providers who help us operate our site and services, under terms that require them to protect your data (see the next section).
• To comply with the law or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of SelfnvestAI, our clients, or others.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we'll let you know before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
• With your consent, when you ask us to share information with someone else.

6. Service providers we rely on

We use a small set of trusted providers to run our site and respond to you. Each processes only the data needed for its role:

• Anthropic — powers our Maple AI assistant and processes the messages you send to it.
• Google — Google Calendar to check availability and schedule your assessment, Google Workspace / Gmail to send and receive related emails, and Google Fonts to display this site.
• Render — hosts our website and application infrastructure.

These providers maintain their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review the policies of any provider whose handling of your data you'd like to understand in more detail.

7. Cookies & analytics

Our site is intentionally lightweight. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Your browser may store small amounts of data locally to make the site work properly, and we may keep limited server logs as described above. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first.

8. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to follow up on your inquiry, deliver an assessment, and maintain our business records. Booking and contact details sent to us by email remain in our inbox until we no longer need them. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove what identifies you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see your rights below).

9. How we protect your data

We protect your information with reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), rate limiting and spam protection on our forms, and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so while we work hard to safeguard your data, we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that's inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your personal information.
• Opt out of non-essential emails from us.
• Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.

To make any of these requests, just contact us — we'll respond within a reasonable time. You can opt out of follow-up emails at any time by replying and asking us to stop.

11. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for business owners and are not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or the law evolve. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear here. Continuing to use our site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
